How We Build

Graith is not just a technology company. It is a set of commitments about how defence systems should be designed, built, and operated.

The Human Decides

Every system Graith builds keeps a human in authority over the use of force — lethal and non-lethal. Autonomy handles the data, detects the threats, manages the transitions. The human makes the decisions that matter.

This is not a feature we add. It is the architecture we build on. It is non-negotiable regardless of what the technology makes possible.

Every Action is Recorded

Every autonomous action, every human decision, every system state change is captured, logged, and preserved. Not just for accountability — for learning, for trust, for legal compliance, and for ensuring that when things go wrong, we know exactly what happened and why.

Ethical autonomy requires a complete record.

Sovereign by Design, Allied by Choice

Australian-owned. Australian-controlled. Intellectual property stays in Australia. We don't build dependencies on foreign technology where sovereign alternatives can be developed.

But we design for interoperability with allies from the start — because sovereignty without partnership is isolation, and partnership without sovereignty is dependence.

Ready Before Required

Graith means "to make ready." We don't wait to be asked. We identify the capability gaps, build the solutions, and bring them to Defence — ready to demonstrate, ready to deploy, ready to integrate.

Speed is a strategic advantage and we intend to keep it.

Build the Workforce

Every system we build, every facility we establish, every capability we develop creates Australian jobs in high-value defence engineering and manufacturing. The workforce is the sovereign capability.

We invest in people — veterans, graduates, apprentices — because the technology is only as strong as the team that builds and sustains it.

The debate about autonomous weapons is not abstract to us. We build the systems that sit between autonomous capability and human authority. Our position is clear:

AI handles the data, detects the threats, manages the transitions. The human authorises the use of force. Every time. Every domain. Every classification level.

This is enforced in our architecture, logged in our audit trail, and preserved for every engagement. We believe autonomous systems can save lives — but only if the human remains in command.
